WHISKY GALORE!
According to legends, ships were sometimes lured ashore by false signals from lights tied upon cows in Brittany or donkeys in Cornwall. The animals were walked along the coastal paths by the wreckers. Once a vessel was washed ashore into some tiny fishing cove, onto a remote sandy beach or hidden rocks, the locals would scour the coastline for valuables that quickly disappeared into their homes.
